Severe degenerative arthritis in Dan’s hips had been diagnosed and was worsening since 2017. By 2020 Dan had constant and severe pain in both hips.
Dans first hip replacement surgery was in March 2022 and his second hip replacement in July 2022. Both surgeries required long and significant rehabilitation programs. The physical stress of 2 major surgeries also had longer term effects to overall health and required significant medical intervention address hormone and mineral imbalances causing extreme fatigue and slowing down the recovery process.
Dan has now successfully returned to all of his pre-operative activities and training, and feels that the profound experience of overcoming such significant surgeries has given him even more perspective on how better he can help other people facing physical challenges.
